About Product:
Our Hurricane Fern plants are displayed in medium terrariums. These ferns grow thick, green leaves that are rippled. They grow in a circular pattern making it one of the more unique ferns available. Like all of our terrariums, the soil surface is visible through the glass so you won't miss watching exciting new growth. Your Hurricane Fern can be kept in its open terrarium or taken out and placed in a pot or larger terrarium. Approximate dimensions (glass portion of item) - 4" diameter x 4.25" height. The actual plant height will vary slightly*.
About Hurricane Fern:
Hurricane Ferns, also known as Hurricane Bird's Nest Fern and Asplenium Antiquum, is a hardy plant that requires little attention. They prefer lightly moist soil that should be allowed to dry out between waterings. Its leaves are able to hold a large amount of water so they can tolerate longer periods of dry soil. Though these plants enjoy moderate to high humidity, their thick leaves also allow it to adapt easily to lower humidity environments. Temperatures should be kept between 60-85 F. Hurricane plants thrive in filtered and partly shaded lighting conditions, but are also able to adapt to lower light conditions. Direct sun exposure will burn this fern's leaves.

All plants are well established with healthy roots and multiple leaves. Our plants are all grown and maintained in our own private grow facilities in Michigan. We grow our plants in their terrariums for a minimum of 4 weeks or until there are signs of new growth. Our unique and attractive terrariums are filled with the proper substrates to keep your plant healthy with minimal care. This substrate does not need to be replaced. Due to the humidity that is created inside of our terrariums, the need for watering is reduced. The substrate is visible through the glass so monitoring dampness and root health requires little effort. Diluted, liquid, fertilizer is recommended every other month as maintenance.
