About Alocasia Macrorrhiza Variegata:
Alocasia plants are native to the South Pacific rainforests. Because these are considered tropical plants, they prefer moist, but not soggy, soil that should be provided water when the top few inches of soil are dry. Alocasia leaves stand tall and may require watering if all leaves begin to droop. This tropical is not as sensitive to dry periods as most tropical plants so it is best to err on the side of under watering. These plants do well in moderate to high humidity so it will benefit from misting indoors. Temperatures should be kept between 65-85 F. Alocasia plants do well in bright to medium, indirect lighting conditions. Typically, Alocasia can tolerate and survive in shady/lower light conditions but these conditions should be avoided with the Macrorrhiza Variegata variety which needs extra light due to its variegation. Overall, this is an easy to care for variety.
